Bathroom remodel cost in New Hampshire
What a bathroom remodel costs in New Hampshire, with ranges from the Atlas estimator for common tub-to-shower conversions and the choices that change the price.
Every number on this page comes from the Atlas Instant Ballpark, the same estimator you can use for your own home. These are example houses to show how the price behaves. They are not quotes, and your written estimate after a site visit is the number that counts.
Example ranges
| Example scope | Atlas ballpark range |
|---|---|
| Five-by-eight bathroom, tub replaced with a tiled walk-in shower and glass door | $11,200 to $16,100 |
| Five-by-eight bathroom, shower tiled to about six feet, curtain instead of glass | $9,900 to $14,700 |
| Six-by-nine bathroom with a shower niche, house built before 1978 | $12,200 to $17,300 |
| Keeping the tub and redoing the room around it | Priced after a site visit |
We have an Atlas range for tub-to-tiled-shower conversions. Other bath layouts are priced after a site visit.
This is a ballpark, not a quote. It is not adjusted to your site until someone from Atlas sees it; final pricing comes after a site visit and a written estimate.
What changes the price
- Room size. A bigger floor and more wall means more tile and more labor.
- Tile height. Tiling the shower to the ceiling costs more than tiling to about six feet.
- Glass or curtain. A glass shower door adds to the price; a curtain rod does not.
- Extras. A recessed niche, a tile floor and better fixtures each add to the total.
- Age of the house. Homes built before 1978 need lead-safe practices.
- Hidden damage. Rotted subfloor or framing is priced once we can see it.
Keeping the tub, moving the toilet or drain, and moving walls are priced after a site visit. Atlas handles the plumbing for the remodel, and a licensed electrician does the electrical work. Atlas does not test, sample or assess for mold; a third-party certified assessor does.

Common questions
Why does a small bathroom cost so much?
Most of the cost is in the work, not the floor area: demolition, waterproofing, tile setting, plumbing and electrical happen in a small bathroom as well as a large one.
Is waterproofing included?
Yes. Every Atlas tiled shower has a full waterproofing membrane behind the tile, not just backer board.
