Two challenges
- A large, very heavy vintage piano could not be moved out of the living room.
- The family lived in the home while we worked.
How we handled them
- We stained and finished one side of the living room at a time, moving the piano between sides.
- A three-layer wall of thick plastic separated the living space from the work area.
- Fans kept the work area under negative air pressure and ventilated it, so the stain fumes stayed out of the living space while the finish cured.
