Window replacement cost in New Hampshire
What replacement windows cost in New Hampshire, with ranges from the Atlas estimator for vinyl double-hung inserts with aluminum-capped exterior trim.
Every number on this page comes from the Atlas Instant Ballpark, the same estimator you can use for your own home. These are example houses to show how the price behaves. They are not quotes, and your written estimate after a site visit is the number that counts.
Example ranges
| Example scope | Atlas ballpark range |
|---|---|
| Eight standard-size windows with exterior trim capping | $6,600 to $7,300 |
| Fifteen standard-size windows in a house built before 1978 | $13,500 to $15,500 |
This is a ballpark, not a quote. It is not adjusted to your site until someone from Atlas sees it; final pricing comes after a site visit and a written estimate.
What changes the price
- Number of windows. Each window is priced individually.
- Size. Standard sizes are in the ballpark; large or unusual windows are priced after a site visit.
- Trim capping. Aluminum capping of the exterior trim is included.
- Age of the house. Homes built before 1978 need lead-safe practices.
- Frame condition. Rotted frames or sills, and full-frame replacement, are priced after a site visit.
Before replacing windows to fix a cold room, read why upstairs rooms get drafty and cold. Air leaks elsewhere often matter more.
Insert or full-frame replacement
An insert window fits inside the existing frame after the old sashes and stops come out. The interior trim, plaster and siding stay where they are, which keeps the job clean and the cost down. A full-frame replacement removes everything down to the rough opening. It is the right call when the frame or sill is rotted, when the opening has leaked, or when the siding is coming off anyway.
Getting an accurate number
Count the windows you want replaced and note any that are unusually large, arched or in hard-to-reach spots such as over a porch roof. Note the year the house was built, because lead-safe work applies before 1978. If any sills are soft or stained, mention it: frame repairs are priced after we see them.

Common questions
Is a full-frame replacement better?
It is necessary when the frame or sill is rotted or the opening has leaked. When the frame is sound, an insert does the job with less disruption.
Are the windows vinyl?
Yes, the ranges are for vinyl double-hung insert windows.
